A PBS special on the diabetes epidemic in the US, exploring the history and science of the illness through portraits of Americans affected by it. We were commissioned to create animations that would explain the insulin cycle within the human body, and to demonstrate how it is affected by different types of diabetes. Our client was keen to find a different way to show how the body works, so we opted for an illustrative style rather than CGI. We also designed the marketing material for the film.
